Why Eco Lawn & Garden?

We use only walk behind lawn mowers, which means less wear and damage to your lawn and property. We simply show up…it sounds simple, but it really means a few different things here at Eco Lawn & Garden. Not only will we show up to mow every week as promised, we also hire team members who love what they do. Need us to come back for any reason? -  Our team will gladly return and fix anything that isn’t to your satisfaction.

Pricing and Size

Eco Lawn & Garden's pricing is based on lot size.  Since we only use walk behind mowers, some lot and lawn sizes will be too large for us to price competitively.

Should i Aerate

If you want a lush, thick green lawn, then yes, you should aerate. We use a core aerator removing plugs 2-3 inches deep. This helps your lawn in multiple ways. Its creates space for compacted soil to loosen up, allows air and water to penetrate deep into the soil to promote strong, deep roots, and aids in maintaining healthy microbes living in the soil which is important for lawn nutrients.

Bad Weather Days

If the rain is light, we may still provide service. If it is pouring rain, we will go into a rain delay, and your lawn care will be switched to the following day’s schedule.  In the case of severe weather, a rain delay could put us behind for the entire week.

Dogs & Gates

If they are indoor dogs, friendly and won’t mind us in the yard, it’s up to you. We own, work with, and are around dogs all the time, so we leave this to your discretion. If your routine is to let pets outside unaccompanied during the day, we highly recommend that you make other arrangements on your scheduled service day. The lawn technicians do their best to keep gates closed, but we cannot assume responsibility for the security of your pets. Also, we ask that you please clean up after your pets the day before your mow day as a courtesy to our crew members.

What if i have Long Grass?

If your lawn is more than 6 inches tall, or has not been mowed in the last 7-14 days, there will be an additional charge added to the normal mow price for the first cut. Due to the size and power of our mowers, we are not able to cut an overgrown lawn more than 12 inches tall. Please note that after we cut an overgrown lawn it can take 2 weeks of lawn care for it to look perfectly manicured.

Property Damage

Please contact the office as soon as you find the problem so we can identify the source of the damage and document any solution. It’s important that you call within 24 hours of your last mowing. If damage is found to be caused by our crew, we will make the repair or come to an alternative solution satisfactory to you.

Any Problems with Service

Please contact our office immediately (within 24 hours of the scheduled mow day). If we are notified within 24 hours, we will send the crew out again to fix the problem free of charge. If you wait several days after the crew was was there, we will note the complaint in your account, and the Crew Manager will discuss the issues with the crew before your next scheduled service date. Because grass grows quickly, waiting several days before notifying us makes it difficult for us to determine what happened.

Weekly & Bi-Weekly Lawn Care only

Our prices are based on weekly and Bi-Weekly service. The grass grows faster in the spring and fall and slows down during the summer. We use this grow pattern to price our services. We do not offer one time mows or holiday coverage.

Cancellations

We request that customers agree to a seasonal long commitment for lawn mowing. Please contact us if an issue arises so we can discuss your options.

Other Services

Though we offer other service, there are some we do not provide such as spray weed control or irrigation install services. We are happy to refer you to other companies we trust for other services.

Mulching, Not collecting

We only mulch grass clippings, we do not collect them. This is healthier for your lawn and the environment. You should not see any grass clippings left on the lawn unless it is overgrown from the week before.

Mulching is eco-friendly for many reasons, it helps provide the soil with increased ground cover to hold moisture, and acts as a fertilizer. Clippings can contain up to 80% water and 5% nitrogen that can continuously fertilize your lawn!
